Kapture Dash Cameras - Connecting to the app

Kapture dash cameras might be compatible with an app to make it more convenient to access footage and see events with more detail and information such as time and date of recordings. This can also make it easier to download footage.

There are multiple apps owned and operated by Kapture, please find which app is best suited to you with this guide below.



KPT-972:

  1. Using your smartphone, find the app "KPT-972" on the Apple app store or Google play store
  2. Open the app and sign up
  3. Follow through the prompts and use your email to receive a code verification
  4. Scan the code on your Dash camera to link them, which is located by the camera lens.
  5. Once registered and accepted, the screen will ask for your name and license plate.
  6. Ensure at this point you have properly installed the dash camera.
  7. Ensure that the dash camera has a Micro SD card installed.


KPT-1024:

  1. Using your smartphone, find the app "KPT-KONNECT" on the Apple app store or Google play store
  2. Power on your dash camera and let its Wi-Fi turn on
  3. Connect your smartphone to the dash camera Wi-Fi connection
  4. When prompted, enter the password "12345678"
  5. Once connected, open the "KPT-KONNECT" app on your smartphone
  6. You should be able to access the camera now


KPT-1240:

  1. Using your smartphone, find the app "KPT-1240" on the Apple app store or Google play store
  2. Power on your dash camera and let its Wi-Fi turn on
  3. Connect your smartphone to the dash camera Wi-Fi connection
  4. When prompted, enter the password "12345678"
  5. Once connected, open the "1240" app on your smartphone
  6. You should be able to access the camera now


KPT-2000, KPT-2100, KPT-2200, KPT-2400:

  1. Using your smartphone, find the app "KPT-LINK" on the Apple app store or Google play store
  2. Power on your dash camera and let its Wi-Fi turn on
  3. Connect your smartphone to the dash camera Wi-Fi connection
  4. When prompted, enter the password "12345678"
  5. Once connected, open the "KPT-LINK" app on your smartphone
  6. You should be able to access the camera now


If your model of dash camera was not listed here, it is likely that it does not have a supporting app to work alongside with. In any case, we always recommend that users read through their manuals so that they can fully understand their products.
